Direct To Consumer Merchandiser

Summary: Maximizes product placement and presentation online based on analytics and marketing initiatives; ensuring appropriate inventory levels to maximize sales, execute company goals, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Works with DTC Planner to develop optimum product assortment for Catalog and Web, and works in collaboration with internal partners and Web Consultants to achieve sale, cross-merchandising, and marketing objectives.
  • Executes product assortment plans and drives merchandising for assigned categories based on top ranking products, historical sales data and analytics in collaboration with internal partners and Web Consultants to achieve sales and marketing objectives.
  • Manage on-site SKUS weekly via internal reports and ensure all SKUS with inventory are merchandised appropriately and available for purchase on the web.
  • Use independent judgment to determine style demands to support sales projections and submit orders to Production Manager for in house production items and Purchasing Manager for vendor produced items.
  • Utilize systems, related reports, web analytical tools and financial reporting to recommend and execute appropriate stock levels, product placement on website, product expansion or liquidation to support sales plans and to develop merchandising strategies for assigned categories and suggest promotional strategies to increase conversion.
  • Coordinates with Retail counterparts on product recommendations as it affects overall company assortment.
  • Participate in seasonal kick offs and product overviews. Ensure seasonal themes and product stories are incorporated into merchandising strategy, and assist in planning and preparing for seasonal catalog photo shoots.
  • Act as traffic Manager for product update requests. Manage all incoming requests for web product information or image updates
  • Review products online and assess/identify additional product information needs that would improve the customer experience. Ensure all product copy, images, colors and content are correct and work with Merchant team, Marketing and Creative to obtain additional product information as needed.
  • Manage on-site keywords for designated categories. Utilize analytics and on-site search data to optimize with every new season.
  • Create weekly, monthly and seasonal reporting by category and sub-category, by utilizing web analytics, warehouse data and Excel and share results with Merchandising and Web team.
  • Manage and respond to all customer service requests, read all on-line product reviews and create actionable steps to utilize information and ensure product description, image and content changes are incorporated online.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years' experience in retail merchandising, and Ecommerce.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Design, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in content management, internet marketing and web analytics tools such as Omniture, CoreMetrics or Google Analytics preferred.
  • PC experience including advanced Excel use and Microsoft Outlook required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with teams to execute projects.

Product Development Assistant

Summary: Assisting in the sourcing, development, and testing of new products and product improvements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Participates in seasonal product planning and development to include researching market trends in colors, fabrics, styles and recommends new products to the group.
  • Conduct quality tests, fittings, and measure garment specifications for all products
  • Communicates with vendors domestic and overseas regarding new product development and current bulk production.
  • Maintains and distributes product development reports with accuracy including product development packages, seasonal style and color boards, status updates, in-transit/QA inspection reports, etc.
  • Assist with analysis of performance of products through surveys and financial reports.
  • Provide QA with color swatches, samples, and product specs for all incoming products as well as maintaining ongoing product sheets.
  • Work with artists on vendor decorated designs and prepares development package for these products to send to overseas vendors.
  • Prepares Seasonal Preview Packet materials for store and performs seasonal product previews to stores and factory departments.
  • Create and conduct presentations on new developments.
  • Create and update development packages which include flat sketches, BOM, spec sheets, and detail pages.
  • Partner with QA/QC, Purchasing, and Blank to manage bulk order priorities.
  • Assist manager with product questions & quality issues from QA, Call Center, and Retail Stores.
  • Maintain consistency in quality and fit for all products.
  • Maintain, organize, and liquidate samples as needed
  • Assist with managing timelines to ensure on time sample delivery
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1-3 years in the apparel industry required
  • Fashion, merchandising, purchasing or related degree required
  • Knowledge of fabrics and apparel required
  • PC experience required including intermediate Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic arithmetic and measurements
  • Be detail oriented with strong follow through
  • Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks.
  • Has good problem solving skills
  • Ability to analyze color.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple projects

Our Custom & Wholesale Sales Representative works autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry. Summary: Load and unload shirts onto/from the dryer and visually inspect the printed items to assure consistent quality merchandise

  • Load/unload shirts onto/from the automated printing press.
  • Inspect shirts that come off the dryer to ensure first quality printing.
