Merchandiser Planner

SUMMARY:

Determines and maintains the assortment plan for an assigned group of retail stores.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Identifies seasonal assortment plan and tailors plan for regions and stores based on overall company goals.
  • Participates in overall seasonal planning of blank purchases by providing input as it relates to store assortment plans and art influences.
  • Determine designs and topics and communicate to Art department based on trends and customer demand.
  • Monitor sales and decide whether demands are met and make decisions on whether keeping or removing product.
  • Expand designs to more stores or remove from stores if not working.
  • Develops merchandising timelines and critical path including seasonal style release calendar, strategic grouping plans and directives, special event timelines, etc.
  • Utilizes GERS system, related reports, historical data, and current trend to recommend and execute appropriate distribution, stock levels, and the allocation for multiple store locations.
  • Works closely with retail partners to develop product placement and plan-o-gram activities.
  • Plans and executes travel as required.
  • Responsible for effectively leading and managing merchandisers and ensuring they meet all job expectations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years apparel merchandising/buying experience required.
  • PC experience required including intermediate Excel use and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Customer Care Center Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Shift supervision of personnel operating the customer care service center of the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Work with the Direct to Consumer Operations Manager to ensure that all aspects of the Catalog store are operating smoothly and in the best interest of the Company, its employees and its customers.
  • Responsible for effectively leading and managing a team including Call Center Representatives and Customer Care Leads.
  • Maintain high morale and level of cooperation among employees through counseling, guidance, positive reinforcement, side-by-side coaching, silent monitoring, performance reviews, goal setting and recognition.
  • Leads, directs, motivates, and develops the Retail staff to achieve desired store and company outcomes.
  • In partnership with Direct to Consumer Operations Manager, ensures appropriate staffing levels to meet customer service demands and makes decisions regarding the need to hire new employees, and increase or reduce payroll hours for existing employees.
  • Handles employee concerns, or complaints, by partnering with Human Resources to determine resolutions, or if applicable, disciplinary or corrective actions.
  • Maintain company standards and hold staff accountable for providing quality customer service and achieving store/company goals.
  • Plans and executes motivational programs that include incentives, contests, and team performance programs.
  • Ensures that all operational and productivity standards are being met based upon best industry standards for call center and fulfillment operations.
    • Utilizes ACD and other internal systems to monitor standards
    • Ensures email communications from customers are being answered within 2-3 hour standard during open hours
  • Other duties as assigned

Visual Merchandiser Assistant

SUMMARY:

The Visual Merchandising Assistant is responsible for assisting the Visual Merchandising department create the best possible visual presentation of designs and products for each store or area on a temporary basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Design (create), implement, and install window displays as scheduled.
  • Install and replace fixtures, props, other items as scheduled.
  • Create graphic displays and signage utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator with Power Mac G4
  • Production capability (Large Signage background a plus).
  • Use of basic VM tools (drill gun, hot glue gun, exacto and mat knife with straight edge, staple gun, etc.) Power Tools and machinery a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum three years of merchandising experience in specialty retailing.
  • Prior window display experience including dressing forms, construction and installation, lighting, other.
  • Computer skills including: Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Excel and Power Mac G4
  • Written ability to communicate ideas with two-dimensional drawings to develop three-dimensional objects.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, work under pressure and with timelines, and maintain an on-going weekly schedule.
  • Strong learning skills and the ability to work with and through many people to get the job done.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use floor plans, plan-o-grams, and sales reports to communicate & plan.
  • Ability to operate basic power tools for the construction and installation of displays and props.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Ability to travel and work a varied schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain a composed and somewhat professional demeanor within a flexible and Crazy work environment (Crazy Shirts Headquarters).

Machine Loader

SUMMARY:

Load and unload shirts onto/from the dryer and visually inspect the printed items to assure consistent quality merchandise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Load/unload shirts onto/from the automated printing press.
  • Inspect shirts that come off the dryer to ensure first quality printing.
  • Assist the screen operator in setting up and breaking down the press: screens, squeegees, inks, and strike offs.
  • Assist in the general cleaning of print area and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
