CRAZY SHIRTS DESIGNERS GO FROM CLOTHES TO CANVAS AT NEW GALLERY
**Apparel company opens first art gallery at Maui's The Shops at Wailea**
HONOLULU - (March 4, 2009) Crazy Shirts goes from cloth to canvas and is literally turning their T-shirt designs into traditional works of art at its new Crazy Shirts Gallery at The Shops at Wailea on Maui. The Hawaii-based apparel company's concept gallery features original artwork and designs by Crazy Shirt' artists, as well as prints, posters and a selection of bestselling T-shirts designs available for purchase.
"Crazy Shirts designers are truly artists and oftentimes their side projects and designs that begin as traditional paintings eventually find their way to our products," said Mark Hollander, president and CEO of Crazy Shirts. "The Crazy Shirts Gallery store allows us to showcase the depth and breadth of talent in our art department. They're not just graphic designers, they're outstanding fine artists as well."
The Crazy Shirts Gallery features original paintings, prints on canvas, and framed versions of many of the company's exclusive designs. The store will also carry a limited selection of bestselling T-shirts designs by Crazy Shirts' artists, as well as unique designs not available at any other Crazy Shirts locations. Plans are also in the making to feature works from various well known "guest artists" from time to time. The atmosphere of the new gallery reflects the fun, casual Crazy Shirts brand and displayed artwork includes sea life, nature, scenic, and abstract themes.
